Turkey Burgers with Sweet Potato Fries (Hamburguesas de Pavo)

This recipe is from my daughter, who is taking a nutrition class at school. Because the low fat content these burgers are an excellent choice for those who suffer from cholesterol, or any other health problems...or want to loose weight, They are very tasty too.






Ingredients for the Turkey Burguers:


1/2 Pound 99% Fat Free Ground Turkey
1/2 Cup Egg White
2 Tablespoons Low Fat or Fat Free Feta Cheese
Fresh Crushed garlic
1/4 Cup Spinach Leaves
A Pinch of Thyme


Mix all ingredients in a large bowl making sure you mix them well.


Put them on a grill or pan each side for 8-10 minutes.


Ingredients for Sweet Potatoes Fries:


1 Sweet Potato
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Chili Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Cumin
A pinch cayenne Pepper
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil


Peel and cut the sweet potatoes, add all ingredients and toss them to mix them well.


Preheat oven at 425˙, line them fries in a backing sheet with non stick tin foil and bake for 30-45 minutes, flipping every 10 minutes until done.
